Google could take another shot at an auction wireless airwave.

The giant research, which did not win any waves in the FCC recently concluded the auction of the spectrum, the Commission recommends the authority to sell the so-called “white space” between TV stations .

In a letter on March 21, Google introduced the advantages of the auction the unused television airwaves in real time to wireless Internet and other suppliers. Google offers “dynamic auction, which is similar to research ad auctions, allowing WiFi providers to bid on the air television signal which is not currently in use, allocating space to the highest bidder at the time.

Google argued that opening up the “white space” would greatly expand access to the Internet and the ability of Internet services. “It would be akin to a faster, longer range, the data rate higher WiFi service - WiFi 2.0 if you like,” wrote Richard S. Whitt, Google’s Washington Telecom & Media Counsel.
