Georgia Drivers Education - Joshua’s Law

The new Joshua’s Law, which was set forth on January 1, 2007, has made requirements in Georgia for teen drivers a lot more difficult then it had been previously. This new law demands that teens must complete a new state approved Georgia driver education course. This is the only way they can think about getting a driver’s license before the age of seventeen. Several schools in Georgia are trying to put the driver education class into their school in order to make it easier on teens to complete this course. However, a number of schools still won’t have this class as an option. A great alternative is to take the state approved driver education course online.
Many teens can’t attend driver education at a school for a number of different reasons, thus parents can now enroll their child into an online class. The online Georgia drivers ed course meets every guideline set forth in the new Joshua’s law and they are state approve as I mentioned earlier. It is a great advantage for teens because they can take the classroom section of this course in the convenience of their own house. In addition to allowing kids to work at home, the teens can work at their own pace in order to fully comprehend the curriculum. Once a student has passed the online course, you will then achieve a certificate of completion which will show the local DDS office you have completed this course.
By allowing kids to take the Georgia drivers education course online, parents can be fully involved in the entire process of their child learning how to drive. The parent is still required to spend a certain amount of hours in the passenger seat as their child learns how to drive behind the wheel.
